My dress might be ready by Friday!!!!!!!
To bad my body is in no shape to fit into it , I have been such a porker lately, eating late at night is a definite no no.
So since I may be going to see my dress on Friday I figure I reminisce a little bit about how it came to look as it looks. As soon as we were engaged in March of 05 I began looking around online for dress ideas, I wasn't very serious at the time but I figure I get an idea of the different styles there are. I came upon the Mikaella collection and saw a dress I thought was nice but didn't pay much mind to it at the time. I guess it was a sort of fate-like experience because after going dress shopping I realized I was comparing all of the dresses to that particular dress. It was elegant yet very simple, which is what I would say my style is (definitely not tooting my own horn and saying I dress in this manner, but I definitely try to, operative word would be TRY, ). I am trying to keep the overall theme of the wedding simple, elegant, fresh, and classy.
So anyway, I was sad to find that the dress was not available anywhere in the metro area, I would have to drive about 8+ hours to go and try it on. My mom asked me to go to a dress shop with her because she had seen a very simple dress she thought was very nice, it was very very simple, so I asked if they could change it up a bit, and she said YES!!! So I sent pictures of my dream dress and they promised to make it look at close as possible!! So after almost 3 months of waiting my dress is ready!!!!!!!
Here is a picture of what the Mikaella dress looks like, I'm praying and hoping my actual dress is as similar as possible and that it fits me well. Wish me luck!

I am so excited!!!!!

I won't get into the many little things I still need to get done, I'm just going to bask in the happiness of having done all the things above so far.
One favor I must ask though, can you please suggest makeup and hair people and places in the NY/NJ area, I feel as though these two things are extremely important, maybe more so then the dress. I would love flawless make up and hair that does not move all evening.
Also I am looking into a trial at Maureen Pedala, has anyone had an experience with her?
Thank you!!
